Prayer starts with humility, Anthony explained. “And humility comes when you are filled by the Holy Spirit. When we first start to pray, we pray with our lips.” He touched his hand to his mouth. “As time goes by, and we grow in faith, we start to pray with our minds.” He touched his temple.
“After decades of discipline, the Jesus Prayer can enter your heart.” He touched my heart. “Then your soul is all peace, like a glassy lake.”
