Dream

A dream is a release of revelation (whether natural or spiritual) that comes at a time when your body is at peace and you are settled. Sometimes this is the only way God can communicate with you because your soul is quiet enough for the Lord to speak deeply into your spirit. A dream is like a snapshot of something that you can relate to in picture form. Ecclesiastes 5:3 speaks of a dream coming when there are many cares. It may be a subconscious response to the circumstances of your life or the Holy Spirit communicating to you.

Spouses a source of revelation

Have you ever noticed how often God uses your spouse to reveal the unyielded areas of your heart? Conflict reveals unresolved issues of pride, independence, and self-love. This happens not only in family relationships; let unforgiveness and unresolved conflict remain in any of your relationships, and darkness slowly begins to creep back in, and you easily lose the sense of dwelling in Father God’s embrace.

John’s vision is a little

John’s vision is a little like a visit to an airport control tower. At a busy airport a casual observer looking out of a window sees planes, vehicles, and baggage going every which way. But if the Observes is escorted tip to the control tower, he can see the overall plan of the airport and hear the directives going out to execute of the plans of the controllers. Suddenly the goings on down below make sense. So it is with John. Through his Visions we are transported into the control tower for the entire universe. From this vantage point as we understand the Controller and plan things fall into place. And even if they sometimes es cape our comprehension we know the One who does comprehend it all. His plans cannot and will not fail!

Can the book of Revelation

Can the book of Revelation be understood? Yes it can. Its message can be summarized in one sentence: God rules history and will bring it to consummation in Christ. If you read it with that main point in mind, you will understand it. You willnotnecessarily understand every detail – neither do I . But it is not necessary to understand every detail to profit spiritually from it.

The same thing is true of all Scripture.scripture is inexhautibly rich, so that we can never plumb all its depths and mysteries. But the main points are clear, so we can know how to believe and act.
