The Church has an unhealthy addiction to perfection: the kind that makes no allowances for messes. The standard can only be met by restricting or rejecting the use of the gifts of the Spirit. “Let all things be done decently and in order”. The “all things” of this verse refer to the manifestations of the Holy Spirit. Therefore all things must be done before we have the right to discuss order.
