People will often ask, why Jesus? Theer are many other religions, many other philossphies, so why Jesus?
There are only four major world religions that are based on personalities. Every other major religioncould be termed a ‘philosophy’. The four major world religions that are based on personailities are: Judaism, Buddhism, Islam and Christianity. The father of Judaism, Abraham, died in 1500BD. The founder of Islam, Muhammad, died of a fever. The founder of Christianity, Jesus Christ, died by crucifixon. You can go all over the world and you will not find one Jewsih person who will say, ‘Father Abraham lived and died but he is alive now and I talk to him.’ You can go all over the world, but you will not find one Buddhist who will say, ‘Buddha lived and died but he is alive and I actually communicate with him.’ You can go all over the world but you will not find one Muslim who will say to you, ‘Muhammad lived and died but is alive now and I communicate with him.’ But you can go to every country in the whole world (bar fifteen), and you will find people who will say to you, ‘Jesus Christ lived and died, but He is alive now and I actually communicate with him.’
You are walking down a street which branches into two and you do not know which way to go, left or right. You are really confused, you just don’t know which way to go. There are two men lying there, one’s dead and one’s alive. Which one would you ask for directions?
