As a craftsman must train

As a craftsman must train himself in the skills of his trade, so must we use the ways appointed by God for the purpose of making us skilled believers. The chief of these ways is earnest prayer. Pray like Moses that God would show you His glory. Pray like Paul, “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. (Ephesians 1:17). Lazy souls never obtain an experience of this glory but to seek it by the ways God commands is pleasant
