We can be cynical to,; we simply dress it up in Christian clothes. We find it easy to mock our parents (what’s the point of these outdated spiritual traditions?), to despise theologians (what do they know in their ivroy towers?) to despise church leaders (what do they know about the real world?), to despise fellow members (you run your life and let me run mine!), to despise experience (how can God let me down like this?), even to despise God himself (surely the Bible can’t actually mean that?!)
