The first rock

If you are a Christian, you know that time with God needs to bet the first rock in your gallon jar. Our first priority should be reading the bible, praying and worshipping, bit I’ve yet to meet a Chrsitian who doesn’t struggle to keep these first things first. While Jesus spent many hours alone in Scripture meditation and in prayer and asked his parents incredulously, “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s House?” we tend to be much more like Homer Simpson. When Marge tells him to get ready for church because “the Lord only asks for an hour a week,” even her scaled down demands prove too much for her husband. “In that case he should have made the week an hour longer,” Homer complains. Don’t be a Christian sluggard and let the thorns and weeds choke the life out of your walk with God
