Theologian Nicholas Wolterstorff, who popularised the term “quartet of the vulnerable” (2008), point out that God is constantly reminding his own people, as well as the surrounding nations, that widows’ live matter, orphans’ lives matter, immigrants lives matter and poor people’s lives matter, because unfortunately, sometimes both Israel and the nations behaved as if those lives didn’t matter at all.
