Romans 12:15 instructs us to “weep with those who weep” not “justify why we aren’t weeping” or “correct those who weep”. To weep with, we need to feel the pain. To feel the pain we need to understand. To understand, we need to be informed. To be informed, we need to listen (read/watch/learn)
